KOL - Toads Place, New Haven, CT 2007

Amazing.  Unbelievable.  Seeing KOL perform at such a small venue is a dream.  I would literally be the happiest girl in the entire world if Kings of Leon would play Toads again.  They played all of my favorites, including: Camaro, Taper Jean Girl, Arizona, Slow Night, So Long, Soft, and True Love Way.  Everyone who has seen KOL in their earlier days is so incredibly blessed.  To be able to follow a band you love from their inception and throughout their rise to fame is truly an unmatchable experience! I think about the days when Caleb and Nathan were going around Nashville singing their songs a cappella at open mic nights and the people who got to see them.  It blows my mind.

KOL - MSG, NYC 2010

Where do I even begin? This was an amazing set list!! Then again, KOL could have played the same song (may I please suggest Knocked Up for this fantasy scenario) over and over again, twenty two times and I STILL would have been like, "Wow! That was an amazing set list!" Haha :)  I am always a little shocked when my favorite boys don't play Milk, it really is a crowd-pleasing favorite!  However, they did play No Money which has really become a tried and true favorite of mine.  When they play MSG again, I will not hesitate to go.  MSG truly is a legendary venue and absolutely worth a visit, ESPECIALLY if it is for Kings of Leon.

KOL - Hartford, CT 2010 (without pictures)

My sisters and I attended this show last August.  We arrived pretty early and were able to land some pretty awesome spots in the pit.  Um, we were closest to Jared.  I didn’t really get great photos or videos because I was using my iPhone, but I’ll post a few anyway ;)  KOL played an amazing show (as per usual) and the only other thing I would like to add is that I love when Jared squints and makes faces while playing, Caleb’s sweat flyin’, head bangin’, guitar pounding, Nathan’s bubble gum blowing, and Matthew’s hand-free smoking - all of which abounded during this amaz-za-zing show ;) Seriously, I wished it would never end! Set list is below:

Oh yeah, and The Stills and Built to Spill opened.  They were pretty good!

KOL - NYC, Today Show 11/24/2010 (without pictures)

Omg, best KOL experience of my life thus far.  Waited outside all night, first in line, chatted up the roadies/security and they gave my sister and I VIP passes at the last minute and put us right up front.  They were so nice, my sister and I were freezing so they gave us KOL scarves and hand/toe warmers!  Really, I can't stress enough how nice everyone was being to us, they kept saying: "Where are those girls?"  "Get those girls some scarves!" "Don't we have any warmers for the girls?!" - it was soo funny, I felt super special.  I remember when we got up front, one of the guys that brought us up there told me "It's going to get crazy, so hold on to the barrier tight and don't let go!"  Needless to say, I did hold on!  KOL played The End, Use Somebody, and Radioactive.  Then I was given a set of drumsticks and Caleb's pick.  Best. Day. Ever.

Oh! And Nathan waved to me.  And wished me a happy birthday! Did I mention best day ever?

KOL - Noblesville, IN 2010

This was a fun trip. No one would go with me so I had to go by myself which was no big deal.  My seat was not great, but a brilliant show regardless.  I was so, so, SO happy they played Slow Night, So Long!!  It was amazing, I kept thinking about when Eddie Vedder would come out and perform it with them with his tambourine, so incredible!! They didn't play Mary or The Immortals like they did in Hartford, CT but they did play Charmer which was another treat.  All and all great show, and certainly worth the trip! The set list is posted below:
